TOURISM PASSPORT: To avoid tourist to stand in queue for purchasing prescribed entrance ticket at different tourist spots, as done in previous years, This year also Tourism Passport will be provided to the tourists visiting Mysore during Dasara Festivities. Tourists with these passports, entrance would be free of cost at the following destinations like Chamundi Hill, Mysore Zoo, Karanji Tank Garden, Mysore Palaces, Ranganthittu Bird's Sanctuary and KRS. Thus reducing the time and strain.

Contest for Foreigners

Competitions will be conducted for all foreigners all over the world on occasion of Mysore Dasara 2007.

1. Small Essay / Poem Competition
   1. Essay should be on Mysore Travel Experiences, Mysore Dasara, Mysore Culture and Music and other good experiences about Mysore and other Places in and around Mysore and other neighboring Districts.
   2. Exiting experiences encountered in and around Mysore and other neighboring Districts.
   3. Any other information, incidents that has attracted the mood of the tourists.
   4. Reasons for your visit to Mysore.
2. Photography Competition.
   1. Photography may be on the best illuminated tourism places, buildings, organizations, Hotels, Tourist spots etc.
   2. The best Tableau, scene you liked during Dasara Procession
   3. Photography of best dressed child, cultural group, events that you come across in and around Mysore
3. Conditions for the Competition.
   1. Entries opened only to Non Residential Indians or Foreigners.  To substantiate this, the copy of Passport or address proof should be sent along with application online.
   2. Every entrant should at least give a list of 25 email ids of Non Resident Indians / Foreigners (this is a must).  Dasara Greetings will be sent to all these email ids.  Persons furnishing more email ids would be given special weight age.
   3. Only online complete entries are entertained.
   4. The entries should be sent on or before 21.10.2007
   5. Each entrant is required to fill up the official registration form available at Web Site www.mysoredasara.com or www.mysoretourism.org
   6. The best three entries will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes or gifts respectively.  All the eligible entries will be given a Certificate.
